12V circuit using 120V light fixtures

12V circuit using 120V light fixtures

I have low voltage lights outside and I'm looking to add pillar lights. Only 'nice' models I see are 120v models. Can I use these light fitting with 12V circuit if I use 12V DC LED bulb in the fixture?

Welcome to the forums.

You can use a standard 120v post/pillar light for 12v use but you may not find the type of lamp you want. You need a 12vdc LED with an A19 socket unless you plan to remove the existing socket.
