Metal Junction Box tall deep cover

I don't want to force and cram wires into my junction box. Can I piggy-back a 2nd junction box as a tall deep cover? I would need to figure out how to connect both together.

There are extension boxes made for 4" square boxes. They attach to the same screw as a cover.

Here's a small one, but they're made for most box sizes. You can extend box with this and then attach cover.

Landscape wire connecting

I loathe those squeeze together connectors because invariably they are the weakest link of a system. The type I'm talking about has offsetting thumb holds with sharp metal points that pierce the wire and little barbed spines that slide through slots with usually one side gray and the other black which are squeezed together for the connection. I am considering hard wiring each light in the series so I know that when a light goes out it is the bulb and not the connection. Does anyone know of connectors that could be used for this purpose? I've seen them as connecting one wire to another but not splitting off like a T. Otherwise I need to strip the wires and use waterproof wire nuts and tape to close them. Ceiling fan wiring questions

I have a ceiling fan which uses a remote. I don't really care for the remote and would prefer to just use a normal wall switch for the fan and the light. Can I remove the receiver inside the fan, and run an additional conductor from the wall switch to the ceiling box, then connect light, fan, neutral? As for the wall switch I plan to use two separate switches one for the light and one for the fan. Are the fan speed control switches all the same? Will a Leviton fan speed control switch work with most brands or will this be a hit and miss?Read More
