240v surge protector for mini split

Duckless mini split VMH 09/12/18/24 SD
Surge protector 5-2-1 SD 60
240v installation

When hooking up surge suppressor I place leads in circuit breaker and also conductors in breaker correct. No place on suppressor to put conductors going to the outside unit disconnect
Thnx

No. Surge should go to its own two pole breaker.

Although it maybe best to be on it's own breaker I have seen many doubled up on 2 pole breakers as long as the terminals on the breakers are rated for 2 conductors,is this your suppressor ?

The installation for your protection devices states that a 2P20A breaker be used.

Some surge protectors do not have separate "line" terminals to connect to a feed line or a breaker and "load" terminals to connect the air conditioner unit or other device or electronics to be protected. These surge protectors may be connected anywhere in the house electrical system provided they have proper overcurrent protection as their instructions specify.

What do ducks, or a lack of ducks, (duckless) have to do with anything?

I was wondering the same thing. All I can think of is the mini-split will be quackless.

Thank you everyone. Will use a dedicated 2 pole 20amp breaker for this.
Thanks

Duckless -- Has no components for which duck tape is commonly used to hold together or aid in the installation.

OT: Other cavalier use by me of trademarks: "... romex cable of the same gauge works just as well for audio as monster cable or oxygenated cable although it might not be as attractive looking ...
