Electric connections
Hi guys,
I'm installing an electric plug in the wall and I want to wire it from another existing socket (the one on the pictures).
I've done it a couple of times in the house without any problem because the "parent" socket was super simple with just 3 wires.
This time there is a more complex setup and the holes I was planning to use for the extension are already occupied.
I was wondering if I can modify the connections to be able to plug my extension wire to this.
By the way, this is a Swiss setup with 3 required wires.

This is primarily a North American forum. I have never seen something like that. However one universal way around your problem is to "pigtail. In your case that means to connect all the wires of a given color to a 15-20 cm length of wire the same color and gauge and the wire (pigtail) to the correct terminal on the socket/plug.
