repacing old service box with fuses to new with circuit breakers

have old fuse type circuit box, no problems, just old was told I should replace it with new breaker type

any idea of approx costs has two 220 circuits and 20 20 amp ones

My first guess from the limited information you provided is that you need to replace the entire service including the meter socket and all service entrance wiring in addition to bringing the grounding up to today's code. As for price of a new service, it depends on many things including the size of the service, local labor rates, difficulty and permit costs.
