Living room light switch

In our living room we have a light switch to turn on and off a lamp but I really wanted pot lights in the room.

Is it possible to use that light switch for the pot lights over head without cutting to much drywall? This living room does have access to the Attic.

With attic access this should be a fairly easy task. You may need to reconfigure some wiring at the switch and receptacle to have power at the switch.

You will want to use IC and AT rated fixtures to save one energy costs. Energy codes probably call for both.
