Generally things like strobe lights already have their relay system on board and make/break the contact as needed. If you could be more specific we may be able to help more.

From a circuit point of view the current can be turned off and on almost instantly, but from a practical point of view it leans more towards what is already on the market. do you know what you will be controlling this on/off switching with.

It's important to know what exactly is being switched. That load determines the type of switching needed.

You wouldn't want to strobe a regular light bulb as the filament wasn't designed to handle that and would fail rather quickly.

Fair enough. We have asked three times exactly what you DO want to do with the switch. We can't give good advice without knowing what the advice will be used for. Can you fill us in a little??

So you gave up on your last plan: http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...ty-switch.html Seems like you are trying to cheat at video games. I don't understand why winning that way would be satisfying.

No, the Flywheel Piston worked great. Im not neccesarily trying to Cheat, i just want to see if it can be done, and things like that. In reality, i would probably use it hardly ever, i just think it would be cool to learn HOW (and different ways of doing so)
