GCFI Receptacle

I noticed only three places have GCFI receptacles. they are kitchen, bathroom downstairs, garage. each place just has one GCFI receptacle but many regular receptacles.
for example, I have more than 5 receptacles in the kitchen but just one GCFI.

I wonder why the other receptacles are not GCFI? Or are they all controlled by one GCFI?

A single GFCI receptacle can be wired to protect any devices that are "downstream" from it in the circuit wiring. This is standard operating procedure when wiring a house.

Press the "Test" button on the GFCI receptacle and see if you still have power on the other receptacles.
