Garage door safety sensor wiring

Garage door safety sensor wiring

I ended up shooting a staple right the one of the sensor wires. I don't have enough slack from the sensor to make it to the opener, however I do have enough wire from the opener to meet up where the broken wire is.

Would it be possible to use a butt splice connector to connect the wires? The only reason I am asking is because there are already butt splices where the sensor wires meet up with the rest as I was instructed to do so by the sensor manuals. It would save me some work to do but I was curious to know if that would be too many connections?

Hi, no problem splicing the Sensor wires.
