The wiring diagram that came with the motor isn't really helping I need help with the L2 and L1 wires and whether it should be CW or CCW any help will be greatly appreciated. It's going to be running my air compressor. Item number 68302 on harbor freight website

Are you trying to change the voltage. Please post a clear picture of the wiring diagram. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/li...rt-images.html

We can't really help you to determine the direction of rotation. Some compressor pulleys have an arrow stamped on them.
I need you to post a better picture of the wiring diagram that is on the motor.
I put in labels...... am I correct ?
This is a 230v only motor according to the label.

One of the 240v wires always connects to P1.
Let's say you wanted the motor to turn CW (clockwise).
You would connect T1 and T5 together with a wire nut.
You would connect T4 and T6 together with your other 240v wire.
