Question Fan countdown timer + light switch - am I doing it right?

Hi guys,
I did a little drawing on how I think I should connect the wires for a countdown timer for an exhaust fan and another one for a ceiling light.
I'm just not sure because the timer has 3 wires, in the manual they said to connect the black to the hot wire and the red to the "existing wire on the switch", but there wasn't a switch, I am adding this to my new bathroom.
I am in Quebec, Canada, can anyone tell me if I'm going it right?
Thanks so much!

Looks correct.
manual they said to connect the black to the hot wire and the red to the "existing wire on the switch",
A better way for them to write that would have been "Black is line and red is load" but they were writing for the lowest common denominator who didn't know about line and load.
