change from dimmer to on/off
I installed a ceiling fan with light controlled by remote in place of just a light. The switch was dimmer. The fan does not like the dimmer, so I am replacing with a simple toggle switch. There are 2 blacks connected an an single red that were attached to old dimmer. Pair of whites connect connect connect connect back. How do I connect properly? Also, dimmer had groun attached, new switch does not, how d I ground?
Thanks in advance,

Welcome to the forums.
You should add a short piece of black wire to the black splice so that you have one wire to connect to switch. That single black wire will go to one terminal and the red will go to the other terminal.
It looks like there is a ground screw in the back of the box but I don't see any ground wires coming in from the romexs. Looks like they may have been cut off making the switch grounding a moot point.

The ground wire on the dimmer switch was connected to that screw, but I don't know where a ground would attach to the new switch so I could hook it up there.
Thanks for the reply, it helps.

Since there is no ground screw on the new switch..... there is nothing additional needed there.
