Options for mounting in-use receptacle cover over vinyl siding?

Hi all,

I need to put an in-use receptacle cover over an outdoor outlet. Because of the vinyl siding, the receptacle sits recessed a bit too much for the cover to sit properly over. Anyone have any ideas here?

Here is a link to some photos of the situation:

Instead of trying to insert the box, extend the receptacle.

Always a tricky situation. You may need to switch to an integral box and receptacle.

Arlington DBVR141W-1 Vertical Electrical Box with Weatherproof Cover for Siding, White, 1/2-Inch Lap - Outside Electrical Box

The second box is listed for new work but if you can work the siding you can get it in. I usually zip the siding apart to get it in. The finished product looks good.

I will second the Arlington siding boxes. They also have one with a flush in use cover.
