Cable from inside to outside - wet or dry?
I'm replacing an outside receptacle with a gfci.
The existing cable comes from inside directly to a junction box in the outside cladding.
Is this classed as inside or outside since the receptacle is outside in a wet location but the NM cable is inside the wall and cladding apart from where it connects in the junction box?

That is considered a dry location as long as the NM cable isn't exposed to the outside air or weather.
