Splice mistakenly cut gutter cable?

I remembered not to cut through this whilst cutting a pipe and then immediately forgot after collecting the hacksaw

Can I splice the cables together?
They have what looks like a braided copper and then 2 wires instead plastic sheath.

Unless you know the exact manufacturer of the cable I would say no.... you cannot splice it unless the company has specific instructions for doing it.

Easy heat.
It's a repair splice not an extension splice so doesn't it follow the principle of heat tape?

In the video he showed different types of cables. Do you know which you have ? If it's the repairable type...... follow the video and repair it. It's just that easy.
