Confirm correct wiring

I would like to use 1 count down timer to control a combination bathroom heater & vent. The 3 way switch will choose heat or vent. Please let me know if my diagram is correct. Thanks for your time & expertise.

Yes the diagram is correct as long as you connect the red wire to the common terminal on the 3-way switch. It is not always in that position, depends on the switch manufacturer, but it is usually colored black.

If the wire that's marked hot is from the breaker box, shouldn't it go to the switch first?

No, he's got it right. It needs to go to the timer first.

Finished project.....wired per diagram.....it works as expected. Thanks guys for assuring me that I was doing it correctly.
