Would a Mod please move this to the recalled product thread at the top of this page?

Thanks Joe. Copy of post put in the recall thread.

Been noticing a lot of problems with the LED replacement tubes.

I haven't really been watching the LED replacement tube so much because of their cost. I do recall a CREE recall though of their 4 foot T8 LED replacement. I hadn't even started buying LED bulbs for myself at home till the last few months because of cost, but recently LED bulb prices have dropped dramatically. I just saw a 6-pack of 60 watt equivalent A-19 LED lamps for $11.98, less than $2/bulb. That's cheaper than the compact fluorescent bulbs most people hate so much. Yesterday I bought 6 - 40 watt equivalent LED A-19 lamps for $ .62 each for two ceiling fans, they work and look great.

The LED "A" bulbs have generally been reliable. It seems to be a power supply issue with the tubed replacements.

There was a pretty big recall a couple years ago of the A-19 LED bulbs by I think Lighting Services Group. It is included in the product recall thread. As I remember, those recalled were marketed under the Eco Smart, Westinghouse and Sylvania names. Probably several more names too.
