Do box screws count as a ground path?
Lets say I mount a metal light fixture to a fixture bar which is secured to a (grounded) metal junction box with box screws. Is the fixture grounded?

The fixture bar should be grounded to both the light fixture and metal box.
The bars usually have a ground wire already attached. Connect that ground wire to source ground, light ground and box.
If the bar has no ground wire, there is usually a tapped hole for a ground screw.

There is a taped hole for a ground screw I was just wondering if that was still necessary if the metal lamp is connected via a metal nipple to the bar which is connected via metal screws to the box which is grounded.
