Help with wiring!
Hi, since 3 weeks, I've been renovating my kitchen. An electrician has already made the "rough". Now, everything is installed, the only thing left is... putting 3 outlets for countertops and 1 dimmer for under cabinet lightning.).I thought it would be simple but damn, I just can't figure it out. I little bit of help would be appreciated. Two outlets are really simple (black, white, red and ground).
You'll find a picture of the wires. It's suppose to be the dimmer and an outlet.
Thanks for your answer

Welcome to the forums.
Not quite following you there.
I'm a little confused at the wiring I see in this box. This wiring IS NOT device ready. There are too many current carrying hot conductors. There should be two ground tails.
I see a neutral. That would be for the receptacle. It looks like there may be two feeds there but one is on a two wire cable and the other is on a three wire cable. You're going to need to find out which circuits feed that box and let us know. I labeled the wires awaiting your response.

Is this wiring new? The wiring for the receptacle should be thicker than the lighting in most cases.

I see four NM cables, but only one of them has a ground wire.
Surely this cannot all be new wiring. The sheathes on all 4 cables are white signifying 14-2 NM-B cable. IF this is new wiring the countertop receptacles are required to be on 20 amp circuits.

The biggest problem that was pointed out is that this #14 wiring is undersized for a kitchen counter receptacle.

I don't recognize the style of box but it looks like each ground wire goes to a captive screw.
