Cable Resting on Wood
I took some drywall down while remodeling a room in the house. Behind it, I found the electric heading upstairs.
The picture is looking up, and you can see the electric cable for the stove turning and resting on wood, at the edge of the hole. The cable isn't super tight, but there isn't a lot of play either.
Is this a long term concern at all? Like the wire rubbing on the wood?

As long as you don't see any abrasion of the outer insulation on the cable it's not a problem. You see cables in contact with wood many different places in housing, such as when they go through holes drilled in studs etc.
