Meter Died

My Ideal 61-360 digital meter stopped working, it was working sporadically before totally going out and it all happened pretty quick. I changed the battery and no improvement.
I got many years of use out of it, is it time for the trash?

Brian, have you checked for a fuse or tried different leads? I would call tech support also.

Might be worth looking inside for a lose connection, but they aren't that expensive and worth a lot when you don't have one. I always carried an identical spare, Triplett 310, so when one failed i could use it for parts, leads and batteries mostly.

Saw some 360s on ebay for $30, might be nice to get the exact one.

Looked inside and it was the battery terminals. Cleaned them with 400 grit sandpaper, working like new. Thanks.

Good troubleshooting. Now you have the money to treat your wife to a grand dinning experience at McDonalds.
