A/C voltage fluctuates in home

Every once in a while I notice some of my 4 ft. fluorescent shop lights flickering. (The bulbs are good). I had the power co, come out a couple months ago and check and they replaced the connections from the drop cable to my service entrance cable. He said they looked a little corroded. The svc guy said I had 112 at the meter. I checked my outlets inside and they were 112 vac

Once in a while I'll notice them flickering. It just happened today. So I grabbed my VOM meter and checked The line voltage, it was 103.8 VAC. I also checked with a second meter I own and got the same reading.

Within 10 minutes, it jumped up to 112 vac.
I have a 100 amp breaker panel and there wasn't much energy being drawn when this happened.

Any thoughts about what might be causing this?

thanks, Bill

You need to check to see if the other leg of the panel goes higher when the one leg drops. Also how many people does the transformer serve?

If you know which houses are on the same transformer as you..... ask them if they have the same issue.

A/C voltage

Thanks for the replies. I had the power co. here today and he found that one of the 110 vac connectors from my drop cable on the pole was warm. He disconnected it and I checked to see if that was the bus that my shop lights were on ( and it was). He replaced it.

Hopefully that was it.
