Pole light photocell hole closure

I have a pair of pole lights at my entrances and the poles has holes for a photocell like this.

Now that I am using a timer switch I have disconnected the photocell on each pole but the holes on the pole remain. What is a good way to plug/close the two holes?

Disconnected photocell. That's just me being cheap.

Could you close it off with a short bolt/nut and washer?

You could use bolt, washer and nut. But, leaving photocell in the place is probably the easiest solution.

If you use bolt, washer and nut, you have to caulk or find something to seal around the edge because washer is flat and the pole is cylindrical. Also, you will have to paint to match the color.

If you want to go real cheap, get a black duct tape and tape the hole.

In situations like this, I've always just left the photocell in place and cut the wires so they don't take up space in the box/fixture.
