Need help repairing electric single burner
So I bought this single electric burner from Walgreens and I use it to light coals on it for a hookah. The problem is the coals get too hot and burn the wire inside and the stove ends up dying after a couple months. I have stacks of them just sitting waiting to get repaired. I want to know what type of wire and what gauge to buy. Also what kind of wire crimps. I need help!!
Will this wire work? https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/171631797172

You are using it for a purpose not intended is why it is failing. The new wire you linked to will work but probably not for long. A cast iron skillet setting on a trivet or fire bricks and a propane touch would make more sense. Place the coals in the cast iron skillet and light directly with the torch.

Ben's idea is better but you would still need to use something heat resistant to hold the coals.

The torch thing wouldn't work because I would run out every other day lighting coals. The electric coal starter I think I might have to try out, any suggestions on where to put it in? Something compact and small.
