Lightbulb Closet electrical wiring problem

Hello,

I am attempted to upload a PDF detailing my electrical issue and it says my file has exceeded the 50KB size limit. I also tried my word document but it wouldn't load. Can anyone help me?

I attempted to wire a closet light off of an existing outlet in the closet. I built the closet as it didn't exist before. Breaker won't let turn it back on.

Welcome to the forums. It is not good practice to upload PDFs or Word documents to forums. People often don't want to take the time to download documents and MS Worg documents tend to be Window centric so people who don't use windows may have trouble opening them. Plain text and inserted images is the best way. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/li...rt-images.html

That would indicate you have wired it incorrectly and created a dead short. You didn't put both the black and white wire from the switch on the receptacle did you? In you situation only the black from the receptacle and the black from the light go to the switch.
