Wiring a USB cable to HD cable
Hi there. I need to wire a USB cable to a Hard Drive cable. The USB cable comes from an old webcam, so i hope that it will work.
I need an adapter from the old HD cable (which connected to the mainboard of an laptop) to an USB cable.
I got what i need, the only problem is that i don't know how to wire them together.
On the left, which is the usb cable i have:
The thick ones
Hope there is a way to wire them.
Thanks.
Here are some photos.

You could connect them together only if the data stream was the same between both units.
It sounds like you want to connect an old hard drive directly to a USB port. I don't think that will work.

If you have a proper adapter to USB it will work. So i can't just wire them just to test if it works?
Or i need to buy the adapter, which i'm sure it will work.

Are you sure that the adapter does not contain needed data conversion electronics as opposed to just passing through conductive paths?
Think: You may not simply connect a 240 volt feed to a 120 volt load; you need a box (the appropriate transformer) in between.
