Is 2.5 Sq. mm 3 Core wire enough for my washing machine?

Hello!

I would like to set up a custom Switch board for my top door washing machine. I purchased a 2.5 sq. mm 3 core wire. Could anybody tell me if it is sufficient?

It is a top load LG washing machine with 6.2Kg capacity.

Thank you!

Basically 2.5 sq. mm cable can take up to 22 Amps. That means it would be ok for your 20A application and connection to the custom switch in your link.

Thanks for your help!

By the way, can I use a 6A-240v 3 pin plug to connect the order side of the switchboard? I want to plug it to another switch board instead of connecting directly to the power junction.

You would need to check the power requirements of the appliance. The plug and wiring needs to be able to supply what is required.
