outlet neutrals pigtailed?

I have a couple of outlets that need replacing. They are on the same circuit (and the circuit is not a multiwire branch circuit).

However, the neutrals are pigtailed in each out let box (in and out and the pigtail to the device). The hot wires though are not pigtailed (in and out both connected to device.

I know this is done with a multiwire circuit but this is not. I assume its OK, but is there any issues with this?

Actually pigtailing is a good idea anytime because you are not relying on the receptacle for the connection.
