Question Simulate Electrical Fence

I am trying to simulate the electrical signal that an electrical fence gives off in order to test a device I am shooting a commercial for which tests for hot electrical fences.

Is there a way I can easily simulate the voltage of an electrical fence at home without buying expensive fencing equipment?

Thanks!
Eric

An electric fence is a pulsed high voltage charge.

Similar to the spark plug on a small engine.
Put your tester near the boot of a spark plug. That would be a similar test.

Our electric fence puts out about 14,000 volts, much higher than standard house voltage. PJ is correct, the voltage from a spark plug would be similar to an electric fence.

BTW a fence charger can be had starting at $40.
