Unhappy Baseboard heat reinstall help

description of problem

- 1 single pole digital thermostat connected to 4 baseboard radiators
- 2 radiators per 20amp breaker
- 2 radiators working amd 2 radiators not heating
- Note: with 2 non functionning radiators connected to power supply, multimeter measures 0 volts
- with 2 non functionning radiators disconnected from power supply supply, multimeter measures 240 volts

Trouble shooting
- checked continuity on 2 non functionning radiators; all good
- changed thermostat
- changed both breakers
- exchanged 1 non functionning with new radiator
- problem not resolved

Do not understand how I can get a multimeter measurement of 240v with radiator non connected and 0v with radiator connected.

You have two 240 volt circuits yet you only have one single pole thermostat. Since only one circuit can be run through the thermostat you must be using a contactor and the thermostat must be controlling that contactor. A little more information on how you have the wiring configured is necessary.
