Wire AC wall wart to EL wire

Wire AC wall wart to EL wire

Will this AC wall wart sufficiently power this EL wire? How would I wire this safely? (more info in the image)

Welcome to the forums.

That wall wart is 24VAC 833ma.
However we don't have any details on your Electroluminescence Wire.

I believe EL wire requires a modulated AC signal of 90-120v at very low current.
You'll probably need to buy an actual power supply designed to run it.

Thank you PJ,

I bought an inverter that was meant for use with it, but it is very loud. I would like a solution that doesn't have a consistent loud buzz coming from it. If I did find an appropriate wall wart how would I safely wire it?

The inverter/driver you purchased may be a defect or just made cheaply (maybe both?).
There shouldn't be loud buzz.

All you have to do is insulate wire connections just like you already have in the picture.
