Question Relocating light switch

The previous owners closed in a bedroom and made it a walk in closet. The problem is they did not relocate the wall switch so you have to walk through the dark closet to get to the switch.
This room is on the first floor. I think I see 2 options.
  1. Run the power from existing switch
  2. Tap into an outlet just outside the closet door.

I just don't know how to fish the wire to the new switch to control the light.

Can someone help with this?

Thanks!
Wade

There are too many variables to describe how to wire a new switch in. Please tell us how many cables are in the switch box and the light fixture box along with what wires are in each cable.

In addition to what Tolyn asked we need to know if power comes in at the light or the switch. If power comes in at the light you might be able the abandon the current switch and wiring and just run new.
