My zest for clean (I was pressure washing the front stucco yesterday) has apparently tripped the circuit containing the porch lights (happened when I tried to turn them on last night...tried to reset it once right away, but it tripped again). Probably got water into/behind the fixture. Is there anything I should do right away besides let it dry?? Is there possibility of permanent damage? Unsafe condition?? I kept the circuit off last night, but that had me stumbling in the dark in the basement, so would like to remedy it! Be gentle with your advice...I'm new at all this! (who else but a numbskull would end up pressure washing a light fixture by accident?)

You can speed up the process with a hair dryer to help dry out the wiring. I doubt you caused permanent damage, but when you have the box open, look around for anything burnt or melted.
