Installing new light switch
Greetings,
I'm installing a new switch but I'm a bit confused by the multiple black wires entering the old switch. I'm trying to install this new Honeywell programmable switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm adding some pics of what the old switch looks like...hopefully they show up. Thanks for any assistance.

What you have is power in and power out being effectively spliced at one end of the switch. The other end is the switched hot.

In case you hadn't gleaned it from the previous replies it is best to not use the back stabs because they are less reliable and you can't put two wires under one screw so you need to pigtail the splice.
