Help! It looks like alot of ceiling fan questions are asked here. I am sorry for the repitition. I am replacing my current fan. I have 2 wall switches. I was told 1 was for the fan & 1 for the light but noone ever wired it that way. the second switch does not control ANY of the outlets in the room. In the cieling I have 4 wires. black, white, red bare(copper). In the wall I have the same. Black & red to one then the black loops to the second & black as the second wire. of ourse the new cieling fan has the green, white, black, blue. is there a way I can use 1 switch for the fan & on for the light?

In the ceiling box connect black to black of fan, white to white of fan, bare to green of fan and red to blue of fan. Should do what you need.

Remember to de-energize circuit before you work on wiring.

Let us know how you come out.
