Inground pool light
Hello having the liner in my inground pool replaced. The orginal 240 volt inpool light is being removed and a cover put over the light opening followed by the new liner.
The wiring for the light goes thru conduit that connects in a junction box outside the pool fence. The junction box is on a 2 x 4 .
Should I leave the wiring harness for the light and just disconnect it at the junction box, or pull it right out of the conduit and discard it ?
The only reason I can think of keeping it on the outside of the pool wall is for the possiblity of a light being re installed at a later date (much later, years later when the pool is getting it's next liner).
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank You

I'd pull it back to the junction box on the post and cap off the disused wires with wirenuts. Also agree on the LED; nobody will ever be installing a 240V halogen light again.
