How many neutrals can be under one nut?

I've been installing WEMO light switches throughout my house. Most have been either 1 or 2 Neutral Wires nutted together. I've come across a bundle of 5 neutral wires with the most recent switch I'm trying to replace/install. (Picture below) My question is, is there a limit as to how many Neutral Wires can be put together with one wire nut? Also, would it be possible for me to split the Neutral Wires up, meaning take 3 and cap them off and then take the two remaining neutral wires and cap them with the WEMO neutral wire.

Thanks in advance for any input!

As many as fit in the wire nut.

No. There is only one neutral in all other neutrals (out) must connect to the single neutral in. If you did that some of those neutral outs would no longer work because they weren't any longer connected to the neutral.

What you can do use use two wire nuts and a pigtail connecting them.
Also could use a Wago - https://www.amazon.com/Wago-Wire-Con.../dp/B000F5THV8

Wire nuts have a rating from the manufacture of how many wires, of what size, are allowed in the wire nut. The two I use (3M and Ideal) allow up to 5 #12 wires under a red.
