Air Hockey: nonpolarized 2 wire to 3 wire repair
Hi,
My dog chewed off the plug of an old air hockey unit we have. It's a standard 2 wire non-polarizing kind. I wanted to change it and then thought why not convert to a 3-wire. But where to put the ground? There is a small metal box that the plug goes into, under the table on the other side of the on/off switch. Can I just screw into the metal box and attach the ground wire there? Should I replace the metalbox with a plastic one? Do I need to do any of the above if I have a DFCI outlet? Any answers to these questions would be appreciated!!!
