Wiring new pool light switch

I have the Pentair Intellibrite 5G LED lights in my pool and spa. Replacing it with the vendor's controller switch so I can just choose the color we want instead of having to flip the switch on/off X number of times to try and get what we want. I thought this would be fairly straight forward, but am having some trouble. The original wiring setup was 15 amp breaker --> GFCI outlet --> single pole switch. According to the image below here's what the original wiring was. Note on the right of the picture is the GFCI and above that is the single pole switch.

Red from bottom left breaker going to positive on GFCI
White from neutral bar in breaker box going to GFCI
White from wires coming out of ground into breaker box attached to neutral on GFCI
Black from wires coming out of ground into breaker box attached to single pole switch
Another red wire going from positive on GFCI up to single pole switch
Green ground from breaker panel going to ground on GFCI
No ground wires attached to single pole switch or the box it's housed in
No white neutral attached to single pole switch

Wiring picture can be seen at https://www.amazon.com/photos/share/...b2HPzwYRn7YyPT

On the new controller switch (manual with wiring in linked description above) it has a black, red and white. I thought it would be straight forward and ran a neutral from the GFCI up to the box above and connected it as follows:

White neutral from GFCI to white on controller switch
Red from positive on GFCI up to red on controller switch
Black from positive on GFCI up to black on controller switch

When I flip the breaker back on I get the light to come on in one mode only. If I toggle the color selector the light turns off. Pushing the button makes no difference as the light just stays the same color. Tried other wiring methods with no luck. Any suggestions on what I'm missing? Thanks

Not quite sure what the picture of the inside of the panel is showing.

Here's what you meed to do.
Connect the red from the breaker and a neutral to the LINE side of the GFI receptacle.

Take a wire from the LOAD side of the GFI rceptacle.... can be black or red and connect to the black wire of the controller. Black is hot in to the controller.

Take a white/neutral from the LOAD side of the GFI receptacle and connect to the white of the controller and white from the light.

Connect the red wire from the controller to the black wire to the pool light.

Connect grounds accordingly.

The diagram Pentair provides is simply too confusing.

Ah, I always forget to consider line vs load sides. Your diagram was perfect and now it's all functioning properly. Not sure why the manufacturer can't include something that simple in their instructions. Thanks!
