2-Speed Fan Wiring

I received a 2-Speed fan from a friend as a basket case. He provided some photos of the switch before he disconnected it to help me reassemble it (?)<br />

I think this is right, but I wanted to check with someone who would actually know.

Welcome to the forums.

In your pictures it looks like everything is connected with crimp caps. Is that wiring the way it was originally ? Are you just replacing the switch ?

Something doesn't look right as the run cap is only in one speed line.

I was checking thru my diagrams and I found a three speed fan wiring diagram. Based on that.... the cap is connected to just the high speed fan wire. That means your diagram does appear to be correct.

The first image is my drawing of how I think it should be wired based on what I can garner from the photos that the donor of the fan took just before cutting off the switch. The crimp caps have been cut off and all the wires removed. I am attempting to put it back together.
