wires in panel knockout

When you are running new romex into a service panel..
Is it 1 ---10/3 ga wire per panel knockout hole? How many 12,and 14s?
does the side or top matter?

The clamp size for the hole determines the number of and size of cables. Look for the cable capacity on the clamp package.

10/3 and 12/3 cables are normally single in a 1/2" connector/knockout.
I use twin connectors for 12-2 and 14-2 cables.
