Surface mount exterior (weatherproof) junction box for exterior light?
I need to install a exterior light on a red brick wall.
Since it is a brick wall, surface mount will be the easiest way to go and only suitable junction box I find is round weatherproof junction box.
The issue with this junction box is most exterior lights have a larger base plate than this junction box because they are meant to seat against the wall.
Any suggestions?

I wonder how a faceplate from one of the Arlington siding blocks would seal against the WP box. It would certainly dress up the front and give a better mounting surface for the light.

I don't link the siding block you mentioned will work over the weatherproof box, but instead I found this.

Looks like I could use this box instead of weatherproof box.
Don't like how shallow the box is, but should be enough for just a light.

I've actually chopped the brick out to install a cut-in gem box. Makes for the neatest looking job but is a little involved.
That box you linked to should work fine. It is shallow but between that and the canopy of the fixture.... you shouldn't have any problems with room for the splices
