Installing smart switch wiring question

I am installing a smart switch where I currently have a 3way switch setup. I attached 2 pictures, one at each side of the 3way switch.

What i notice in the one with the wires coming out of the wall (I removed the dimmer switch), is that I see 120vac between the black wire and the white wire, and ~60vac between the black and the red. When I flip the other switch, the 120vac and the 60vac changes from one to the other.

Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!

In the B picture.... I labeled the Common terminal. It's always dark or black while the two travelers are gold colored. There is a black wire on the B switch common. That means the red and white wires are the travelers at both boxes. That also means the black wire at switch A is the Common wire.

Where are you putting the switch and what is the make and model of it ?
Most smart/wifi 3w switches are not plug and play.
Wiring usually needs to be changed at both ends.

Hi thanks for the reply! The unit is : https://www.amazon.com/New-Model-Wir.../dp/B01MUCZA1C

As long as I have a neutral, they are pretty straightforward to install. This is the only difficult location!

That switch requires the companion GE slave switch for multi switch operation.
You will need to test the two black common wires to ground to see which one is the feed. The other one will be the light/load.

You don't. A slave control remotely activates the primary dimmer.

I need to know where you find the hot wire.... A or B ?
Where is the switch going..... A or B ?

Yes...that looks like the slave control.

You will be making several wire changes at both ends.
I'll post a diagram as soon as I know the locations.

I'll figure out the hot wire, but what do you mean where does the switch go?

With the wiring setup you have..... you will find the hot/line at one box. The load/light will be at the other box. You need line and load at one location. I'll give you a diagram that shows you what wires need to be changed/connected. So I need to know at what location.... A or B ..... where the actual dimmer is going.
