Pool pump and SWG on timer using 12/3

Hi all, I had to bright idea of changing what was working for years.
I had my pool system moved to a different area and added an SWG and a pool timer.
My current situation is (2) 20 amp circuits run on a 12/3 wire. The red was capped off at the box in the house and only the black, white and ground were used.
I ran another black and white from the timer to the house for the red.
So now I have (2) blacks, (2) whites and (1) ground running from the end of the 12/3 ( not connected) to the box near the equipment (also not connected).
Question 1-will this timer work
Question 2 -will this setup work
Question 3 - how do I connect this
Question 4 - should I just get an electrician

Thank you all

What is an SWG ........ a salt chlorine generator ?

If this wiring is outside it needs to be UF cable.
The timer and pump will work if they are both 120vac.
Both circuits need to be GFI protected.
