Can I use nm cable through a wall into disconnect?

I'm putting an air conditioner disconnect on an outside wall of my house. The disconnect will be in a raintight box. The cable to the disconnect will go through the wall into the box. The cable from the main panel will be nm. Can I legally (in CT, USA) run the nm into the box or will I have to transition to uf or other cable suitable for a damp or wet location?

What would you recommend?

Thanks,

Ken

So long as the cable goes directly through the wall into the back of the disconnect you are okay.
