Light switch always on

I have two 20A's tied into a new light fixture. One 20A is hot, the other leads from new light fixture Down to the light switch. They are all capped off 3 wires (both 20A and then the light wire). The light will not turn off. I've tried every configuration I can. Think of. What am I doing wrong here?

Welcome to the forums.

You've created a switch loop circuit.

I think PJ means you need to create a switch loop circuit as per his diagram.

Got it. Thank you, PJ. I was able to re-wire properly and now have a functional switch
