Wiring for Baseboard Heating

I want to put in some baseboard heating in my finished basement. I presently have plug-in heaters but want to put something more permanent that is hardwired to the electrical panel. I will need at least four 1500 watt heaters for the space I have. They will be 240 volt Hydronic Heaters. Can I run one cable that would accommodate all four heaters? What would the wire size and the breaker size be if, in fact, it can be done by running one wire? I want to do all of the labor myself before getting an electrician to hook it up. I usually do my own electrical work but I think this will need a subpanel, which I am a little dubious about doing myself. Appreciate any help.

Nothing runs off of one wire. I requires two wires minimum for electric to flow. I believe you meant cable. You need about 25 amps total for all four. I'd suggest two 20 amp circuits of 12-2 on 20 amp breakers. Two heaters per circuit.

Yes, cable! Thanks! I will plan on two runs of 12/2 with 20 amp breakers. I appreciate your help.

Yes.... you need two runs/circuits as those heaters cannot be connected to a circuit larger then 20A.
