Eaton Breaker Date Code

I am trying to determine the date of manufacture of the subject breaker. Can anyone help me with that. I am not sure if the date code is shown. The face of the Eaton breaker has the following:

Type BR260
Type C260
120/240 V -
2 Pole J969
E7819 - T
LR43556 Disj

A guess would be 1978 week 19. Thanks for any guidance.

Welcome to the forums.

As you can see from this picture..... most of the stuff you posted is generic on those breakers.
If there is a date code posted..... it won't be on the front.

Eaton didn't own Cutler-Hammer in 1978 and the Eaton/Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers didn't come out till roughly 20 years later. Why do you need the date of manufacture? Do you have a possible warranty claim?

The BR series breakers are warranted for 10 years from date of purchase. I remember reading the Eaton warranty recently and I recall that they require the receipt showing the date of purchase.
