Hot air blowing in cooling mode on Nest

Hi,

I have two nest controlled unit. One is a heat pump (the picture with black border) and a regular furnace type unit (the picture with yellow border). The heat pump blows hot air in the cooling mode. The wiring looks different for different nest controllers. As far as I remembered, my two nests are not the same generation either. The heat pump is an older generation. Please help!!!

Have you used the Nest support function?

Welcome to the forums.

A couple of issues here.

Why are there two red wires ?
You have a brown wire in the O/B spot which is correct but the stat may not be programmed correctly. What is the make of the outside A/C condenser ?
I would also move the white wire to the W2/AUX location.

Ok..... move the white wire to W2 and make sure the nest knows you have a heat pump with AUX backup heat. In the setup you need to tell it that the O/B terminal needs to be set to O operation.
