Tamper Resistant Receptacles
Happy 4th to all. Do I need tamper resistant receptacles in a new detached shop/rv garage that i’m wiring ?
Thanks

Tamper resistant outlets are ideal when there are children around. I don't think I'd put them in my workshop but if children will be in there then they should be installed.

I personally would never install them in a shop, they are a PITA, and every one I have ever seen was cheaply made and often broke. I always use the highest quality receptacles in my shop as they take a lot of abuse.
In addition, it may not be your rule, but I NEVER allow children into my workshop, there are simply too may ways to get hurt in there, outlets being the least of the issues.
